This special Judge is a true Ganjier. We recognized him last year by giving him The Ganjier Award which is given to those in the industry that are experts in an aspect of the Cannabis Industry through hard earned experience and have moved the industry forward in a positive way. It is an award to recognize their service and contributions to increasing the understanding of cannabis to the masses.
We awarded Danny with the award because we recognized his level of hustle during a time in the industry when if you didn’t truly buckle down and hustle your business, you would not make it through the changes that we coming to the industry. Well a year later, we see that this award was not awarded to the wrong person.
Danny has been able to make his delivery business Green Walrus Delivery from San Jose a powerhouse business delivering some of the finest cannabis in California through his strong relationships earned through game and hustle.
As a judge, we knew Danny would be a discerning one. On a daily level, he is involved in selecting and sourcing all the flowers his business shares with his customer base. His hands on approach to his business means he also has key insights into what his customer want and don’t want. After sifting through literally thousands of pounds of cannabis during his career, we know that his opinions are on point from a consumer’s perspective as well as a Ganjier’s perspective.
We hope that in addition to sharing his professional and personal thoughts on the entries he judges this year, he will get an opportunity to share the story of receiving the The Ganjier Award last year after he was shot while on the job delivering. We think its a great example of the self discipline he exercises to consistently deliver the finest cannabis to his customers of the Bay Area.
